"I'll be happy" is a "collaboration" between My Anh and SIXTYUPTOWN - an R&B/Hip-Hop artist from Hanoi.
The song is a blend of two different love stories: On one side, SIXTYUPTOWN tries to convince her ex to come back, on the other side, My Anh sends words of comfort to herself when meeting her ex-lover with her best friend. The lyrics are taken from both of their love confessions and personal experiences, creating profound lyrics that are both joyful and touching.
With the message “I’ll be happy in the end”, the song gives listeners hope that, even if they have to go through sad times in love, there will still be light at the end of the tunnel. From this perspective, “I’ll be happy in the end” is not only an R&B/Poptastic song, but also a strong message about emotional healing.
SIXTYUPTOWN and My Anh were inspired by the R&B Alternative music of international artists such as Tyler, the Creator and Smino, but still had the unique mark of young Vietnamese artists. The bright but no less emotional melodies highlighted the musical personalities of the duo and contributed to shaping a new style in both of their careers.
Sharing more about this project, SIXTYUPTOWN said: “I am very proud of this product. Because I had the opportunity to make the beat, record, write lyrics, and come up with ideas for the MV.”
After releasing "Em se vui thoi ma", SIXTYUPTOWN aims to be a multi-faceted creative artist from fashion, music to MVs that he will direct. Regarding My Anh, she plans to perform more and continue to release new products.
Although SIXTYUPTOWN is still a new name to many audiences, he has made his own mark with a musical style influenced by Western Hip Hop and R&B. He has collaborated with many prominent young artists such as My Anh, Wren Evans, Dangrangto and PrettyXIX to create creative and captivating music.
