Huynh Thien Trung is known by many people as the person behind the voices of many other famous cartoon characters such as Jaian in Doraemon, Usopp in One Piece or Ti Quau in Lang Xi Trump...
In addition to his voiceover work, Mr. Trung is also a voice lecturer and stage actor. In the recent program "Multi-dimensional illusion", he shared about the opportunity to become a voiceover actor and the ups and downs on the artistic path.
Initially, his passion was stage acting. However, because he did not have many opportunities, he tried to practice his acting skills by becoming a voice actor.
As a talented voice actor, many people know his voice but few know his appearance. However, he did not think this was a disadvantage because each profession had its own characteristics. He has clearly understood and accepted this since choosing a career.
The path to becoming a professional voice actor is not easy.
Mr. Trung confided: My starting point was quite difficult because I was from the West, so I had many pronunciation errors. In the studio, all the errors were obvious. I have to practice day and night, and even have night mares. At around 1-2 am, I often wake up to do choreography. My younger sister saw that and immediately asked if I needed to practice at that time. I was startled because of the too much pressure. Because if the casting is passed and I can't do it afterwards, I will have to temporarily stop that job."
To stick with the profession, he spent a whole year just sitting in the studio, listening and learning from his seniors. He listened, analyzed, and learned from experience to perfect his voice. Thanks to his perseverance, he has made his own mark for his roles.
