Hoang Quan in Duyen: One role, many hardships
- Hoang Quan is a character with many inner conflicts. How do you approach this role?
When reading the script, Vang was impressed because Quan was not a one-sided "warm guy". Although selfish, hot-tempered, jealous, it all comes from love for mother. The conflict between ego and family affection creates the "real" depth that Vang wants to exploit.
- The scene where Hoang Quan burst into tears when he realized he was in love and was about to lose Ai My was highly appreciated by the audience. Where do you get the emotions?
This is the Golden segment that was carefully prepared, "living with the characters" for a few days, recalling the moments between the Army and the US. When eating noodles and crying, emotions naturally float, turning once is enough.

At first, I was very shy, but thanks to getting to know each other, the two easily exchanged, overcame shyness to maintain professionalism and true affection.

Gold is very exciting. In the previous film, they were brothers, this time the confrontation was more fierce. Mr. Vinh shows Vang many ways to restrain and push emotions, in real life like a brother in the family.
- What does working with a veteran actor like Than Thuy Ha bring you?
"Mother Ha" is serious but affectionate, considering Vang as her own son. I gave my opinion from the look, costumes to the dialogue, evoking emotions in the inner scene.
