Singer Tung Duong was honored in the International Special Awards category under theMusic Awards Japan 2025.
According to the organizers, the music path as well as Tung Duong's music orientation has the criteria closest to the Maj 2025 award at the present time. Therefore, the Organizing Committee decided to choose and honor the recyclable voice as the first Vietnamese artist to receive an international special award.
Along with that, the MAJ 2025 organizing committee also recognized the "Song of the Year" award that Tung Duong was awarded at the 2025 Dedication Awards - honoring this as a typical song, having a great influence in the life of popular music, chosen based on achievements and artistic values that have been affirmed in the country.

When receiving the announcement from the organizing committee, singer Tung Duong emotionally shared: "I am very proud to be in Kyoto to receive the International Special Award at the Music Awards Japan 2025. This is not only a great honor for me personally, but also a source of pride for Vietnamese music, for artists who always strive to preserve and spread the value of national culture to the world.
For more than 20 years on the artistic path, I have gone through many challenges, there were times when it seemed impossible to overcome. But it is my love for music, my love for my homeland, and the encouragement of the audience, colleagues and family that give me the strength to constantly create, constantly innovate and persevere on my own 'race'.
The 8X singer is happy to contribute a small part to the journey to bring Vietnamese music closer to international friends, so that melodies and lyrics imbued with Vietnamese identity can resound on big stages, touching the hearts of those who have never known the S-shaped country.
According to Tung Duong, this award is a recognition not only for him, but also for all Vietnamese artists who are working tirelessly day and night to create, preserve and renew folk music. The male singer hopes that Vietnamese music will become more widely known. "I believe that there will be more young artists confident in reaching out to the world, carrying the aspirations and identity of their nation," he added.
