On the evening of April 26, at Sam Son Sea Square stage, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of Sam Son Sea Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme "Sam Son - Aspiration to shine". This is an important political and cultural event, starting the 2025 sea tourism season in Thanh Hoa province. The opening ceremony was attended by many leaders of the Central and local governments and a large number of people and tourists.
To ensure absolute security and safety for the event, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized over 1,200 officers and soldiers of the professional departments of the Provincial Police and the Police of communes and wards in Sam Son City to coordinate with functional forces to synchronously deploy plans to ensure security, order (ANTT), traffic safety (ATGT), fire prevention and fighting, and rescue.
Of which, 400 officers and soldiers of the crime investigation and prevention sector have been established into 112 working groups, deploying checkpoints and mobile patrols in crowded areas. The working groups brought handheld speakers, directly propagated, reminded people and tourists to raise awareness of protecting personal property and preventing crimes. Forces proactively detect and promptly handle acts of theft, pickpocketing, robbery, extortion, fraud, gambling, drugs, and disturbing public order.
In parallel with crime prevention, the Provincial Police deploy closed patrol forces on key routes and areas; deploy traffic diversion and route conversion plans, minimizing personal vehicles entering the festival area. The Traffic Police force coordinates with the Public Order Police to organize traffic regulation and guidance, ensuring smooth and safe traffic.
Before, during and after the opening ceremony, the security and order situation in Sam Son city has always been maintained stably. To prevent complicated incidents from happening, crimes of taking advantage of the crowd are promptly prevented and handled. Although the traffic volume of people and vehicles has increased dramatically, prolonged congestion or serious traffic accidents have not occurred.
According to the assessment of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the success in ensuring security and order at the opening night is the result of proactiveness, high responsibility and close coordination between functional forces. This is also a testament to the continuous efforts of the Thanh Hoa Police force in maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a stable and safe environment for Sam Son to develop, becoming an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
