Join Thai Binh fishermen to light up lights at sea

On the afternoon of August 3, the program "Lighting lights at sea with fishermen" came to fishermen in Thai Binh province .

The program will be organized by Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper from the beginning of 2023, expected to take place in 28 provinces and cities bordering the sea across the country, with a total implementation budget of more than 30 billion VND, in order to support, encourage, and co-operate. working with fishermen; stand side by side with the Government and local authorities to find solutions to remove the "yellow card" for Vietnam's seafood industry.

Today's program was held at the People's Committee of Nam Cuong commune (Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province), the Organizing Committee awarded 200 gifts to fishermen in the coastal districts of Tien Hai and Thai Thuy, each gift worth more than 5 million VND, including: Battery, light bulb, medicine bag, eagle battery combo box, specialized rope roll, 1 handbook "Things to know about seafood fishing" published by Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper margin and voucher worth 1 million VND.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 25 scholarships, each consisting of 2 million VND in cash and a set of learning tools, for studious students who are children of fishermen.

Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in recent times, the province has implemented drastic and synchronous solutions and tasks to combat IUU exploitation in the area and affirmed her cooperation and companionship. Fishermen, ship owners, and captains in complying with the law when participating in fishing play a very important role in order to achieve high results in the fight against IUU fishing.
