The 16 best films by child filmmakers convey meaningful messages about topics surrounding life.

On August 24, the organizing committee of the filmmaking program Through the Lens of Children - Kid Witness News - season 17 honored 16 films by students.

These are the best works out of a total of more than 200 scripts from 400 students in Hanoi and many provinces and cities across the country who registered to participate.

The two first prize winning films will represent Vietnam to compete with filmmaking groups around the world at the Kid Witness News Global Summit event.

The films of the "child filmmakers" have gone through a process of evaluation and scoring by experienced Vietnamese directors and actors to select the best films. Having passed the selection round, 80 "child filmmakers" with the most potential scripts have entered the filmmaking course.

The children are guided by professional Vietnamese directors and actors, from the first stages of script writing, acting, filming with specialized equipment from Panasonic to post-production and finishing the work.

Through a creative but still very pure lens and showing many diverse perspectives, the 16 best films convey meaningful messages about topics surrounding life and society such as environmental protection. , family affection, communication with friends...

A new feature of this year's program is that for the first time, films by child filmmakers will be broadcast on national television in the program "Young Life" on VTC6 television channel. This activity is accompanied by the Children's Media Center (Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee) and the organizing unit, helping to further spread the children's stories, perspectives and creativity. - the future owners of the country.

In Vietnam, the program "Through the Lens of a Child - Kid Witness News" has been held since 2016. To date, Panasonic has successfully organized 17 seasons with the participation of nearly 3,000 students and more than 160 videos published. produced, 16 times the film reached the international online finals and was sent to attend the Kid Witness News Global summit.
