The program aims to attract and strongly spread to the community and tourists the message of building a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature; reasonable use of natural resources, biodiversity and adaptation to climate change; control and solve plastic waste pollution, towards a greener and cleaner lifestyle; increase recycling and reuse; contribute to the successful implementation of the Project "Building Da Nang - Environmental City" for the period 2021 - 2030.
More than 45 activities and events will be implemented. Environmental Action Month and Vietnam Sea and Island Week will take place from June 1 to June 30 in the city.

The city will simultaneously deploy the work of classifying domestic solid waste, managing plastic waste; total environmental sanitation in response to the Green - Clean - Beautiful Sunday Movement on roads, areas, and vacant lots with environmental problems that need to be resolved; especially on roads and areas serving the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
Organize the Week of Dredging and clearing sewers and drainage ditches to contribute to reducing flooding before the 2025 rainy season; launch inspections and handling of violations of environmental protection, mineral exploitation; compliance with laws on natural resources and environment in Da Nang City in 2025...

At the ceremony, Mr. Le Quang Nam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - emphasized the role and responsibility of each organization, individual and community in implementing the classification of domestic solid waste at source, reducing plastic waste. This is a task with many challenges and is long-term; it requires the participation of each person, each organization, and the community.
"Each agency, unit, and people - should truly be a positive factor, an exemplary example in environmental protection, raising their responsibility through specific actions. Da Nang will focus resources to quickly and promptly resolve environmental issues that arise in each locality, residential area; in industrial parks" - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee said.
