MC Hoang Oanh and psychologist Dr. Ly Thi Mai - CEO of Ho Chi Minh City Applied Psychology Company Limited - explore the secret box.
It is a Gold Medal (HCV) in 2024, from the Vietnam Paralympic Committee.
MC Hoang Oanh thinks this medal signals a rather special story in the program.
Appearing on the show, little Ha Chi said that this was her mother’s medal. Through the show, she wanted to say: “I love my parents” and “I love my mother very much”.
Her mother is a weightlifting athlete, and Ha Chi's father was an archer and then became a coach.
The child's parents have leg disabilities, the mother has to use a wheelchair, and the father walks on crutches.
Confiding in psychologist Dr. Ly Thi Mai, Ms. Huong Giang - Ha Chi's mother - shared that she had polio since she was 4 years old. Growing up, she diligently practiced sports and competed to receive a gold medal. When she was pregnant with Ha Chi, she moved to Hanoi to live with her family for convenience in taking care of her.
As the only child in the family, Ha Chi is very loved by her parents. Her father takes her to school, her mother cooks and does the laundry for the whole family.
Despite the difficulties, Huong Giang and her husband still take care of their child as much as other parents. What is special is that Ha Chi's parents also have prestigious awards that make her extremely proud.
Every time Ms. Huong Giang competes, her daughter follows her to cheer her on and praises her, “Mom, you’re so good.” Ms. Huong Giang is very touched when she hears her daughter say this. This saying has great spiritual value, nothing can compare.
When her father took Ha Chi to school, many times her friends noticed her and asked her why her parents rode a 4-wheeled vehicle. She replied: "Because my parents hurt their legs."
At the age of five and a half, she began to realize that her parents were different from others. Ha Chi said she was “a little sad” because she saw that her parents were not healthy and had difficulty walking.
Through the small screen, Ha Chi also wants to tell her father: "I love you, Dad" and she is very happy that her family is happy.
Sharing at the program, Ha Chi said: "I dream of becoming a doctor to treat my parents and many other patients."
Ha Chi promised her mother: "I will study hard and be good" to make her parents happy.
Witnessing the understanding of the 7-year-old girl, psychologist Dr. Ly Thi Mai shared with the parents: "The important thing is not to let the child feel inferior about herself because the mother also does all the work of a normal mother, still takes the child to school, still does for the child what the child needs from the mother, needs the hands of the father".
