Dr. Strangelove - 1964
Dr. Strangelove is set in a cold war period with the former Soviet Union. On a normal day, General Jack D. Ripper (played by Sterling Hayden) plotted to attack Russia with an attack from the bomb. The attack was issued with B52 fighter jets on duty. Officer Lionel Mandrake (played by Peter Sellers) and officials at the Pentagon tried every way to change Jack D. Ripper's thinking and revoke the attack. However, everything failed and tended to deteriorate. Faced with the threats, Russia counterattacked when activating the Doomsday machine and within the next 10 months, no living thing on Earth will survive. Worrying about the approaching end of the world, and the US must find every way to prevent the disaster as well as solve the problem caused by itself.
