More than 100 contestants were present at the preliminary round of the contest "Miss University of Peace Vietnam 2025" to get their registration numbers and conduct an anth Board measurement.
The contestants were selected through a stage performance and introduced themselves. Some female students also showed their talents such as dancing, dancing, singing, martial arts... to conquer the judges.
Journalist Ngo Ba Luc - Head of the judges' panel said that the most outstanding thing about the contestants in the Western region is their sincerity, honesty, rusticity, and simplicity.
"The special thing is that you have determination, a kind heart and many talented people. Those are the things that create the brilliant nuance of this area - journalist Ngo Ba Luc assessed.
Miss Que Anh assessed the contestants as very dynamic and enthusiastic. You try and want to participate in the beauty pageant to be more confident, step out of your comfort zone.
"I hope you guys don't be too shy but show your full talents to conquer the judges," the beauty queen said.
Runner-up Vu Linh said that the criteria for choosing a new Miss include not only appearance, performance skills and foreign language ability to spread the message of love for the Fatherland to all young people.
Ms. Thu Trang - President of the "Miss University of Peace Vietnam" contest said that there will be criteria for selecting candidates from the beginning to the training process and there will be activities behind the scenes so that candidates can develop.
After the preliminary round of the Western region, the organizing committee will continue to organize the casting in Ho Chi Minh City on November 13, Hanoi and Da Nang. In addition to the contestants who won a yellow ticket to the semi-finals, the results of the casting round will be announced on the contest's Fanpage and announced directly to the contestants.
With the message "Vietnamese students continue to write a story of peace", the contest aims to find the best candidate for the title of Miss, with core values based on the criteria of beauty - intelligence - courage - rich in compassion.
Through that, the organizing committee hopes to find girls who converge outstanding factors to become inspirational ambassadors, representing the young generation of Vietnam.
Candidates will go through 4 episodes of reality TV to find Student Ambassadors for Peace; Ambassador of Compassionate Students; Ambassador of Talented Students and Ambassador of Creative Start-up Students.
In addition to the highest title with a total prize worth 2 billion VND, including cash, crown, study abroad scholarship, media package and gifts from sponsors, the organizing committee also awarded 4 runner-up prizes along with secondary prizes such as: Friendly beauty, Best Traditional Costume Beauty, Most Favorite Beauty, Photo Beauty, Stylish Beauty...
The final night is scheduled to take place on December 28 at East Sea Park Square (Da Nang City).
