
Here are some stretching exercises, shared by fitness expert Mahesh Ghanekar.
1. Hamstring stretch
Stand up straight with your feet hip-width apart.
Stretch one leg out in front of you, keeping it straight.
Lean forward and touch your toes.
Hold for 30 seconds, then switch legs.
2. Calf stretch
Stand facing a wall, place one foot back, heel touching the ground.
Lean forward, keeping your back leg straight.
Hold for 30 seconds, then switch legs.
3. Hip flexor stretching exercises
Kneel on one knee, placing the other foot straight out in front of you.
Keep your back straight and your body upright.
Gently push your hips forward until you feel a stretch in the front of your hips.
Hold for 30 seconds, then switch legs.
4. Lunge
Stand with feet hip-width apart.
Step one foot forward and lower your body until both knees are bent at a 90-degree angle.
Push all your force back into your front foot to return to the starting position and switch feet.
5. Hip stretch
Sit with your legs spread wide.
Gently lean forward, touching the ground between your feet.
Hold for 30 seconds, then switch legs.
