Here are the most common mistakes in skin care that make you look older, shared by dermatologist Dr. Kiran Sethi in Isya Aesthetics, Delhi.
Wash your face too many times
Skin cleansing is an important step in the skin care process, but if done too often, you can damage the skin's lipid barrier. Wash your face with a mild cleanser no more than twice a day to avoid making your skin look aging.
Seeing too many phones
The habit of paying attention to the phone screen every hour is harmful to the skin, can cause wrinkles around the mouth, chin and premature sagging in the neck, along with many other signs of aging. So, try to look straight at your phone instead of looking at it with a 9:00 p.m. to prevent these damages.
Not drinking enough water
Water helps the body stay healthy and full of energy, and is also beneficial for the skin. When dehydrated, the skin will lose elasticity, easily irritated and age faster. Therefore, drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day is necessary to keep the body hydrated.
Don't use sunscreen
About 70% of signs of aging come from the effects of sunlight, so always wear sunscreen, whether it is winter or summer, indoors or outdoors. Regular use of sunscreen can prevent many signs of aging, including wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity.
Lack of sleep
Sleep helps restore the body and beautify the skin. When you don't get enough sleep, your body will be stressed, your skin will become dull, prone to acne and dehydration, making you look older than your real age.
