On August 10, a group of 14 cadres and people, including 3 cadres from departments and branches of Kong province, traveled more than 600km to Hospital 199 in Da Nang to provide health care services.
Due to long-distance travel conditions and working hours, people took advantage of 2 days off on weekends to go to Da Nang for medical examination. At the Emergency Unit - Hospital 199, Doctor Nguyen Huy Thong (the person directly connecting people and Lao officials) and the emergency team created conditions for receiving, treating and classifying diseases and instructed on the implementation of high-tech medical services such as computer-based chupage and other medical services according to patient's requests.
Deputy Director in charge of Hospital 199 Tran Quang Phap said: We are very happy to have received the trust of the people of Laos, especially the province of Kong when they chose Hospital 199 as a place for medical examination and treatment and health care. The hospital always creates the most favorable conditions for Lao patients to come for examination and treatment at the unit".
Mr. Daovi - an officer working at the Department of Industry and Trade of Set Kong province shared: "Our team visited Hospital 199, although we knew it was a weekend, but the doctors on duty were interested in creating conditions to receive health care as well as perform high-tech medical services that the health sector of Set Kong province has not been able to perform. I thank Hospital 199 for its attention, facilitation as well as friendship and help from doctors and medical staff. Thank you to Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong - the person who connected and helped us so that we had the opportunity to go to see a doctor and receive treatment at Hospital 199.
It is known that this is not the first time that people and officials of Set Kong province have provided health care services here. In just the first 6 months of 2025, Hospital 199 has also received health examinations and treatments for nearly 100 Lao people and staff.
