Electronic medical records are one of the key contents in the digital transformation roadmap of the health sector for the period 2023-2025, with a vision to 2030. According to Circular 13 and Official Letter 365, the Ministry of Health requires medical examination and treatment facilities to complete the conversion to the Electronic Medical Record before September 30, 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, MSc. Nguyen Ba Hung - Head of the Digital Transformation Department of the National Center for Medical Information (Ministry of Health) - highly appreciated the efforts of Hoan My Medical Group.
According to MSc. Nguyen Ba Hung, Hoan My is one of the pioneers in seriously and systematically implementing digital transformation requirements. The implementation of the Electronic Medical Profile helps improve management efficiency, connect interdisciplinary treatment, and is also a strategic step towards a smart hospital model.
Ms. Huynh Bich Lien - General Director of Hoan My Medical Group - stated that the EMR system in Hoan My is built in a comprehensive and interconnected direction, from medical examination and treatment history archives, test results, diagnostic images to prescriptions, treatment plans and clinical notes.
The General Director of Hoan My Medical Group emphasized that patient information is confidential according to high standards and can be retrieved quickly. In particular, this helps doctors fully grasp their medical history, shorten examination time, support accurate diagnosis, timely treatment and effective interdisciplinary coordination.
Dr.BS. Nguyen Phi Hung - Medical Director, Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital - said that being selected as a pilot unit is not only an opportunity to apply modern technology but also helps the hospital improve service experience and quality of care for patients.
Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Truong Canh Tuyen said that this is the first hospital in Can Tho City to complete the Electronic Medical Profile System, which is very meaningful in providing quality, in-depth medical services, in line with the city's development orientation.
The application of science and technology and digital transformation at public health facilities in Can Tho City is still limited, therefore, the Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee requested that in the coming time, public health facilities need to refer to and learn from the experience of Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital to promote digital transformation.
The Electronic Medical Record Project has been implemented by Hoan My Medical Group since 2022 according to a systematic roadmap, including stages of process standardization, infrastructure construction, team training and piloting before being applied. Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital is the first unit of the Group to be honored by the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health; and the National Center for Medical Information, Ministry of Health to meet the standards of the Electronic Medical Record System.
