The mother, L.T.K.N (34 years old, Thanh Hoa), is third pregnant at 38 weeks. Before surgery, the patient was diagnosed with central placental vegetables, toothbrushes on the basis of increasing gestational blood pressure, giving birth once and having a cesarean section once.
When entering the operating room, the mother underwent an endotracheal anesthesia, strict breathing and blood circulation control, and a large bloodline was placed to prevent risks. It was thought that the surgery went smoothly, but in just a short time, the mother fell into a critical condition due to emphysema - a rare obstetric complication, with a rate of only 1 - 12/100,000 births but a very high risk of death.
The surgery was successful, the 4.3kg boy was born safely. However, immediately after giving birth, the mother suddenly turned purple, SpO2 decreased rapidly. Despite timely treatment, the patient's condition progressed rapidly and he lost circulation. Immediately, the hospital's red alert was activated, mobilizing leading experts to participate in the emergency.
Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh - Director of the hospital, doctors held an emergency consultation to find a way to save the patient's life. Thanks to the close coordination between departments, along with the support of highly qualified doctors, the mother had a spectacular revival.
After the patient stabilized, the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital coordinated with experts from Viet Duc Friendship Hospital to assess the function of the organs. When qualified, the patient was taken off the ventilator and had the endotracheal tube taken out.
Witnessing his wife escaping the barrier of life and death, Mr. H - Ms. N's husband - emotionally shared: "I had prepared mentally for the worst situation, but a miracle had happened. Thanks to the dedication and continuous efforts of the doctors, my wife was saved."
When his wife had recovered and returned to her newborn son, Mr. H was truly relieved.
