On November 28, Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital held a conference of surgical science and emergency intervention for the major arteries, gathering more than 150 doctors and experts in the fields of cardiology, heart - chest surgery, anesthesia and resuscitation and many related specialties in the Mekong Delta and the Hoan My system.

The conference was held with the aim of updating in-depth knowledge, sharing clinical experiences and introducing advances in surgery - emergency intervention for major artery disease, contributing to improving the capacity to treat and care for cardiovascular patients in the area.
The conference focused on discussing 5 key topics, covering the identification of aortic diseases to treatment, resuscitation and treatment of complications, specifically including: overview of aortic diseases: diagnosis and treatment methods; major artery spacement: prescribing surgery and emergency intervention; surgical and practical interventions at Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital; the role of anesthesia - resuscitation in aortic surgery; clinical case of cerebral shock after intervention, lessons learned in clinical practice.

Speaking at the conference, MSc. Dr. Tran Phuoc Hoa - Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery - Thoracic Surgery - Resuscitation after heart surgery, Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital said that according to statistics from the Global Weight of Diseases (GBD 2010), the mortality rate from fans - major artery secretion increased from 2.49 to 2.78 cases/100,000 people in just 10 years.
In Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, it is among the groups with the highest growth rate, with an increase rate of 1.17 - 2.33 times within 20 years. Arterial diseases are a dangerous group of diseases that progress rapidly and require close coordination between surgery, intervention and resuscitation.

This conference is not only a forum for exchanging experiences and updating medical advances, but also affirms the role and capacity of the hospital in the cardiovascular field, to bring more timely, safe and effective treatment solutions to patients in the Mekong Delta region, said MSc. Dr. Tran Phuoc Hoa.
Dr. Nguyen Phi Hung - Medical Director of Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital - informed that the unit always focuses on developing a team of doctors and modern equipment, because these are two very important factors in the treatment of serious cardiovascular diseases.

The newly invested MRI 3.0 Tesla and MSCT 256 slices have helped doctors assess master artery damage faster, more clearly and more accurately. Thanks to that, doctors can soon detect the extent of the peeling and complications, thereby providing timely and safe treatment for patients.
In addition to technology, the hospital also focuses on building a team of specialized experts and closely coordinating interdisciplinary activities.
