On the morning of August 23, the People's Committee of Thuan Hung Ward (Can Tho City) coordinated with the National Assembly Delegation (NAD) and the People's Council (HDHD) of Can Tho City, Can Tho Children's Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Association of Pediatric and Neonatal Cardiology and the Thot Not Regional Medical Center to organize the program of eye-catching and screening for congenital heart disease for children in difficult circumstances in Thuan Hung Ward.

Practical program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); creating favorable conditions for children to access and receive high-tech medical care.
In recent years, through this program, many children with congenital heart disease in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta have been detected and treated. Children in difficult circumstances are also considered and supported for surgery costs.

At the program, the niece of Ms. Le Thi Lan (born in 1967, Thuan Hung ward) was supported by doctors with an ultrasound and free consultation. After knowing the results, Ms. Lan expressed: "Because we live far from the city center, my family had few conditions to take our child to the hospital, now that doctors have come to the scene to support and say that my child's health is normal, I am very happy. Parents here are all grateful that their children have the opportunity to be detected and treated promptly".
According to Specialist Doctor 1 Nguyen Trong Nghia (Deputy of Emergency Department, Volunteer Doctor Team of Can Tho Children's Hospital), currently most parents when seeing children with unusual signs often take them to the doctor for examination but have few ultrasounds and screening. Realizing that, the units have coordinated to implement the program to detect congenital heart disease, thereby having a way to intervene so that the child can have a normal life.

Master, Doctor Tran Thanh Minh (Faculty of Medicine - University of Health Sciences, Lien Chi Association of Pediatric Cardiology and congenital heart disease in Ho Chi Minh City): "We hope to help parents feel more secure about their children's health, thereby contributing to nurturing the future of the country".
On this occasion, the program's Organizing Committee also presented hundreds of gifts to students in difficult circumstances in the ward, adding motivation for them to prepare to enter the new school year.
