Doctors at Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital said: Chemicals that are easily splashed into the eyes when in contact include shampoo, nail polish, hair dye, detergent, or other chemicals...
Depending on the type of chemical and the concentration, the level of impact on the eyes is different, such as: eyelid burns, corneal burns, uveitis, cataracts...affecting the function and vision of the eyes.If a chemical is accidentally splashed into the eyes, the first thing to do is to wash the eyes with saline or clean tap water.Note that for chemicals that are lime, do not wash the eyes as this will burn the eyes, but use a cotton swab to remove the lime from the eyes. Then quickly take the patient to a medical facility with an eye specialist for examination and timely treatment, limiting further damage to the eyes.
