However, after only three months, this flies spread, ulcerated and were diagnosed with melanoma - a very dangerous form of skin cancer that progresses rapidly and is easily metastasized.
At the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital, doctors intervened in time with the technique of creating the back of the liver, helping her preserve her feet and her ability to walk. When hospitalized, 8x8 cm wide lesions in the soles of the feet - where the main force of the body, is very difficult to intervene because if errors, can lead to loss of motor function or amputation. Doctors used the skin flap from less bearing and nourished by upstream artery. After three days, the skin flap recovers well and the patient can recover the ability to exercise.
MSc. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, said: If the patient arrives later or has incorrect treatment, the risk of losing his foot is very high. Fortunately, we intervene at the right time and apply appropriate techniques, preserving motor function.
Previously, flies were not painful or itchy at first, and were easily confused with benign flies. Patients monitored and treated themselves but were ineffective, the damage spread, and even new blackheads developed. After self-treating by burning electricity and medicine of unknown origin, deep ulcers and pain, the patient went to a dermatological facility and was diagnosed with hectodermic cancer. The patient was then transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases for further treatment.
Dr. Duong Manh Chien, Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, said: Hemorrhoids can be produced silently like a flap, but they progress very quickly and are dangerous. If not removed promptly, cancer cells can spread to other organs, such as the kidneys, lungs, liver, and even the brain.
Dr. Chien emphasized that melanoma is not like other cancers because it does not respond to chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Top-notch surgery from the start is a vital factor. Delaying treatment or self-treating can cause the cancer to spread and metastasize rapidly.
To recognize early, if you detect any unusual flies, people should immediately think about melanoma and see a specialist. Absolutely do not arbitrarily piling, photosensitizing or cutting melanoma without excluding it, because these actions can stimulate metastatic cancer cells.
