Information from Hospital 199 in Da Nang, at 4:00 a.m. on June 29, Dr. Truong Quoc Viet and colleagues from the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Unit successfully performed a cesarean section for a 38-year-old female patient. A 3300 gram baby girl was born healthy to the happiness of the pregnant woman, her family and the medical team.

According to Dr. Truong Quoc Viet, this is a special case because the patient has a history of cesarean section 10 years ago at a medical facility in Da Nang city. After cesarean section, the patient had symptoms of normal menstrual bleeding at first, then had a clean period, then had a little black brown blood circulation, and each time she was preparing for a cesarean section, she was accompanied by mild pain in the lower abdomen.
In November 2023, the patient went to the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Unit (Hospital 199) for examination and was diagnosed by Dr. Truong Quoc Viet as second infertility due to surgical scar failure. After that, the patient underwent surgery by Dr. Truong Quoc Viet himself to reshaped the scar. After surgery, the symptoms of eczema improved significantly, and her health was stable.
The good news is that a few months after surgery, the patient received good news that she was pregnant. The patient was examined and monitored by doctors throughout her pregnancy at Hospital 199 until she was 39 weeks pregnant and had a cesarean section early this morning.
Doctor Truong Quoc Viet said: "The problem of cesarean section is one of the risks of difficulty in conceiving. In this case, the patient has been waiting for the child to continue for 6 years. With the defective surgical scar, if not intervened promptly, it will not only reduce the chance of pregnancy but can also increase many other risks (old crooked toothbrush, crooked toothbrush scars...) in the next pregnancy. However, if the intervention is unsuccessful, it can bring more negative consequences. Therefore, cesarean section for defective cesarean section requires doctors with high technical skills to bring the best results".
