In the third round of the Champions League qualifying round, PSG faced PSV. With superior force, Enrique's team dominated the game, controlling the ball up to 61%, launching 28 shots (compared to 8 by PSV). However, Paris could only leave with a regrettable 1-1 draw. PSV scored first thanks to Noa Lang, while PSG scored 1 goal thanks to Hakimi.
After the match, coach Enrique was not satisfied. He emphasized that PSG played better, but did not win, according to Rfi: "It is difficult to accept such a result. It is clear that we created more chances than our opponents. We deserved to win the match and in fact we also played better than PSV Eindhoven. We just had problems with finishing."
With the disastrous draw against PSV, PSG are currently 17th in the group of 36 teams. Only the top eight teams will go straight to the next round, while the teams in the lower group will have to play a difficult play-off series.
Enrique, though worried about the situation, believes PSG are on the right track. He continued: "I am worried, yes. PSG are certainly one of the teams that create the most chances. Scoring goals sometimes requires luck. There is a pessimistic atmosphere because the results are unfair. But I remain calm. My team is always much better than the opponents."
