In addition, the NINE 5G postpaid package system launched at the same time as the launch of the network achieved initial success with good growth, currently accounting for nearly 10% of Viettel's postpaid subscribers after only a few months of officially supplying the market. This is the boost that helps Viettel's 5G network quickly reach the 5.5 million users just over 3 months after its launch, moving closer to the target of 10 million 5G users in 2025.
On October 15, 2024, Viettel launched the first and largest 5G network in Vietnam with 6,500 broadcasting stations, ensuring outdoor coverage of over 90% of the capital area of 63 provinces, cities, industrial parks, schools, airports, seaports... and continuously expanded, ensuring that customers, even if traveling in many places, will have 5G waves ready to meet all times.
Viettel's 5G network speed can reach 700Mbps - 1Gbps, 10 times faster than 4G and the latency is almost zero, deployed simultaneously on both 5G NSA and 5G SA architecture platforms.
