Stepping forward in sustainable operation
At the 2025 Vietnam Sustainable Enterprises Assessment and Ranking Award Ceremony held on December 5, 2025 in Hanoi, Carlsberg Vietnam was honored in the Top 100 most sustainable enterprises in Vietnam (in the trade - service sector).
This is a prestigious annual event organized by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) - Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to honor pioneering enterprises in sustainable development and responsible business.
Carlsberg Vietnam is honored to receive this honor from VBCSD - VCCI in its first participation in the sustainable business assessment and ranking program in Vietnam.

Entering its 10th year, CSI continues to affirm its role as a "taful" to help Vietnamese enterprises get closer to global ESG standards. With more than 130 indicators in the set of criteria, this year's program attracted the participation of many businesses, demonstrating the strong shift of the market in the face of increasingly urgent sustainable development requirements.
This title is a meaningful recognition of Carlsberg Vietnam's persistent efforts. For us, sustainable development is a non-stop journey. That is the connection between business and responsibility, between green growth and community action - Mr. Bui Huu Quang - Senior Director in charge of foreign affairs, communication and strategy of Carlsberg Vietnam shared.

In more than three decades of presence in Vietnam, Carlsberg has always put sustainable development as a strategic pillar, starting from production activities. Phu Bai Brewery in Hue is a typical example, not only demonstrating strong production capacity, but also symbolizing the company's long-term commitment to the environment and the community.
The factory integrates leading advanced technologies to optimize performance and minimize environmental impact, typically high-performance beer cooking lines that help save 20% of water and 15% of energy, and renewable energy sources that are certified by I-REC combined with biomass energy for operation.

All wastewater is treated with advanced filtering technology. In 2024, Phu Bai Brewery achieved a water efficiency of 2.09 hl/hl, in the top 10 most water-saving facilities of Carlsberg in Asia. The plant is on the path to 2.0 hl/hl by 2026, while aiming to have no landfill waste by the end of 2025 and net zero emissions in production by 2028.
At the same time, Carlsberg Vietnam is also an active member of the Vietnam Recycling Packaging Alliance. Accordingly, by 2026, the company aims to achieve 100% of recyclable or recyclable packaging on all bottle, can and keg products, continuing to affirm its commitment to sustainable packaging innovation and contributing to promoting the circular economy.
Joining hands to act for the community
Not only focusing on green operations, Carlsberg Vietnam also implements many community-oriented programs with the deepest mark in the Central region - a place closely associated with the Huda brand.
A typical example is the program "About clean water for the loving Central region", launched in 2019, which has brought more than 3.3 million cubic meters of clean water to nearly 9,500 households, supporting livelihoods for about 40,000 people. Going beyond the framework of the water supply program, this initiative has become a symbol of the spirit of sharing with the Central region - a "loving" land associated with Carlsberg's development journey in Vietnam.

In addition, the program "Full Tet, loving Tet" has been maintained for more than a decade, giving more than 75,000 gifts to people in 9 Central provinces, helping the joy of Tet to be complete.
Most recently, when the Central region suffered the most serious flood in history, the company quickly donated 1.5 billion VND to support people in Hue and Da Nang cities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, spreading the spirit of mutual love in society.

With the internal community, Carlsberg Vietnam focuses on promoting diversity, fairness and integration, creating a motivating working environment for the team, encouraging inspiration and supporting each other to progress. One of the positive results achieved is that more than 40% of the company's leadership positions are currently held by women.
The company is also proud to accompany the United Nations through the official signing of the UN Women's Empowerment Principles, demonstrating a clear commitment to promoting gender equality and creating fair career opportunities for all employees.
These efforts have been recognized with many prestigious awards, becoming a driving force for the company to persistently create sustainable values for people and society. 2025 marks the third consecutive year that Carlsberg Vietnam has been honored by the HR Asia Awards 2025 as one of the "Best Workplaces in Asia".
In September, the company was also honored with the Work the Nordic Way: Best Place to Work award at the Nordic Business Awards 2025 organized by the Nordic Business Association in Vietnam (NordCham). The joy was even fuller when the company continued to be recognized with the "Community Impact - Community Enterprise" award for large-scale enterprises at the EuroCham 2025 Business Awards Ceremony last November.

Looking at the achieved results, it can be seen that sustainable development at Carlsberg Vietnam does not stop at the slogan, but has become a daily operating principle. When community responsibility goes hand in hand with business growth, the created values are not only more sustainable but also have long-term influence.
