These days, Vo Nguyen Giap Square (Thai Nguyen City) is holding a large-scale exhibition fair "Cong Do - OCOP Thai Nguyen 2025", gathering more than 200 booths from 30 provinces and cities across the country. This event will last from April 28 to May 4, 2025.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters in early May 2025, the fair area was packed with people from early morning to late night. The bustling scene of buyers and sellers, invitations, footsteps blending with promotional music make the space bustling.
The booths are designed to be eye-catching, divided into many areas with hundreds of OCOP products from processed agricultural products, organic foods, herbs to handicrafts.
The diversity of products and cultural colors of the region makes the fair a destination that attracts a large number of people and tourists to shop.
The owner of the Bac Giang booth here said that at this exhibition event, the unit brought specific ginseng products from the Danh mountain area, Yen The district, processed into many forms such as pickled wine and ginseng cao to suit consumer tastes.
"Danh mountain ginseng has the same saponin content as Korean ginseng. Participating in this fair helps the unit reach a large number of customers and seek new distribution channels. This has helped the brand become more widely known," said the booth owner.
Not only a place to connect trade, the fair has also become an attractive destination for people during the holidays.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham (Thai Nguyen City) said that she took her young children to visit early in the morning, experiencing food stalls and traditional products from many regions that she rarely had the opportunity to buy.
I see the fair not only as a place to shop but also a space for the whole family to explore the typical culture of each locality. Children are also excited, playing and learning many things about traditional products of the regions, Ms. Tham added.
Not stopping at traditional trade promotion, this year's fair also marks a strong transformation in the application of digital technology.
Specifically, many booths have officially become e-commerce platforms, expanding the market through platforms such as Shopee, TikTok Shop, towards a modern and sustainable business model.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan - Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee said that the event is an opportunity to promote and advertise trade, investment, and tourism.
Through the exhibition, exchange activities, joint ventures, production and business linkages, investment attraction, trade development, tourism and services are promoted.
At the same time, it will expand the distribution and consumption network of Thai Nguyen products, contributing to responding to the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
