Vinh Long - The workshop suggests 3 pillars to help businesses standardize products, increase competitiveness and make a breakthrough in the 2026 Tet season.

On December 9, at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics Branch in Vinh Long, the workshop "Bustling preparation for the Tet business season and opening in 2026" was held to help businesses update information and strategic orientation.

At the workshop, speakers discussed 3 major challenges: Purchasing power, product standardization and financial pressure for green development.

The organizing committee stated that the purchasing power of Binh Ngo Tet in 2026 fluctuated strongly after natural disasters and epidemics, leading to rapid changes in consumer behavior. Enterprises must adjust their business plans to promptly adapt to market developments.

Ms. Le Thi Hai Yen - Trade Marketing Director of Unilever home care industry, former Director of Trade Heineken Vietnam - analyzed the consumption trend of Binh Ngo Tet.

Ms. Yen emphasized that people should be more cautious, prioritize essential goods and request clear information traceability. Businesses need to follow the market closely and optimize customer approach strategies.

Regarding the quality of goods, Mr. Lam Hoang Quan - SGS Vietnam Organization (an international unit specializing in quality inspection, appraisal and certification) - said that product transparency is a vital requirement.

Mr. Quan suggested that businesses tighten the quality control process and proactively approach international standards to enhance competitiveness.

In the trend of sustainable development, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Chi - Director of MCG Management Consulting Sustainable Development Consulting - commented that financial management for green transformation is a challenge but also opens up new capital flow opportunities.

Ms. Chi recommends that businesses prepare transparent documents, optimize cash flow and proactively meet green criteria to increase competitiveness and sustainable development.

Ms. Vu Kim Hanh - President of the Vietnam High-Quality Goods Association, Standing Member of the Mekong Connect Forum Coordination Board - emphasized that the three groups of issues of purchasing power, quality and green cash flow are forming a strategic "third-legged neighbor".

According to Ms. Kim Hanh, businesses sharing information, upgrading product standards and applying data platforms together will determine their ability to overcome difficulties in 2026.
