According to a representative of Saigon Co.op, during the National Day holiday from August 31 to September 3, supermarket chains Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food... recorded increased purchasing power compared to normal days, depending on the point of sale, in some places it increased nearly 2 times.
In particular, Co.opmarts and Co.opXtras located in high-rise apartments and shopping malls, etc., organized Vietnamese Food Festivals on weekends, attracting a large number of customers, including residents or visitors to the shopping malls for entertainment. Supermarkets in localities that are tourist destinations in the country such as Co.opmart Quy Nhon, Tam Ky, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Ca Mau, etc., became shopping destinations for people when they could come here and buy diverse and abundant local specialties at stable prices.
Faced with high purchasing power during the holiday, staff from Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food... were on duty regularly at the counters, replenishing goods in a timely manner. In addition to physical points of sale, all supermarket staff were also mobilized to handle online orders that doubled compared to normal days, delivering goods on time on the same day, not keeping customers waiting.
Customers were especially delighted by the image of the entire supermarket covered in red flag colors through decorations, merchandise displays, staff uniforms... expressing national pride on National Day September 2.
