After many days of understanding the local situation and monitoring the activities of the subjects, recently, Market Management Team No. 4 simultaneously deployed forces to inspect a number of business locations at Saigon Square Commercial Center.
Through inspection, Market Management Team No. 4 discovered hundreds of units of clothing, handbags, wallets, and plated jewelry products without invoices or documents, showing signs of counterfeiting foreign trademarks protected in Vietnam.
Market Management Team No. 4 has sealed and temporarily detained all of the above goods for handling according to regulations.
In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 4 will continue to implement the key plan on anti-counterfeiting in key areas, in groups and gathering places. At the same time, strengthen the management of the area, proactively control the situation, coordinate with functional forces to synchronously deploy professional measures to promptly detect and prevent commercial activities, production, and trading of counterfeit and prohibited goods and protect the legitimate rights of consumers.
In the first 9 months of 2024, Market Management Team No. 4 inspected 249 cases, mainly violations of trading in counterfeit goods, trading in smuggled goods, trading in goods of unknown origin. Fines were imposed with an amount of more than 4.7 billion VND, the value of the violating goods was more than 12.6 billion VND.
