Forest planting activities are part of a series of annual activities, starting from the GreenUP Marathon initiated by Coteccons in 2022. With the GreenUP platform, Coteccons is committed to bringing sustainable values to the community and society, through integrity, transparency, companionship and sharing.
Inheriting that vision, Coteccons and local authorities in Quang Tri province have planted 11,777 trees belonging to three precious tree varieties in Ban Ke community forest (Tuyen Lam commune, Quang Tri), including green Lim, Cheese Road, Green Gioi. This work contributes to the regeneration of upstream protective forests, preventing erosion, improving the ability to withstand natural disasters; accompanying the local community, bringing sustainable livelihoods.
Within the framework of the program, Coteccons awarded 05 scholarships (total value of 10 million VND) to outstanding students of Lam Hoa Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, and also presented 66 practical gifts (5 kg of rice, 1 box of noodles, necessities) to the Chuat households in Ban Ke. These are practical actions, contributing to improving community life and spreading the spirit of sharing along with ecological recovery activities.
