Through DHL's GoGreen Plus service, VietinBank reduced 26.66 tons of CO2 emissions from January to September 2024 by using sustainable aviation fuel. This achievement was recognized by DHL at the certification ceremony on November 7 for VietinBank, which is the leading bank in reducing carbon emissions among customers using the GoGreen Plus service in the banking sector.

We are proud to accompany VietinBank, supporting the bank to reduce the largest amount of greenhouse gas emissions for international express shipments, leading our GoGreen Plus banking customers in Vietnam in the first three quarters of 2024. Launched by DHL Express in 2023, GoGreen Plus leverages a “carbon insetting” approach, using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from renewable energy, sustainable biomass or waste. SAF can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over its entire lifecycle.
The partnership between DHL and VietinBank demonstrates how businesses can leverage alternative logistics solutions to reduce their environmental impact and enhance their competitive advantage in international markets.
