Thereby, Grab continues to be a part of the Forest Symphony Ninh Thuan program - Planting forests to retain water, jointly implemented by the Living Fund and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Ninh Thuan province since 2020.
This partnership is part of Grab Vietnam’s vision for the future, through environmental protection initiatives to contribute to the comprehensive development of cities across the country.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the parties will plant 171,010 trees and sow 150,000 seed bombs in Nui Chua National Park, Thuan Nam coastal protection forest, Tan Giang upstream protection forest, and at the same time carry out training activities and support local people in forest conservation.
In addition to its carbon emission reduction efforts, Grab will continue to leverage its app and communication channels to disseminate knowledge, raise awareness among users about the impacts of climate change and empower users to take practical actions for the environment.
In Vietnam, after 3 years of implementation, Grab has cooperated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province and the Living Fund to successfully plant 20,000 trees in the upstream forest of Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province.
