According to the Global Climate Risk Index, Vietnam is currently ranked 13th among the countries most affected by climate change. According to UNICEF, children are the most vulnerable group to the negative impacts of climate change on physical and mental development.
Increasing knowledge and skills in proactive health care is not only the foundation for reducing the risk of disease but also enhancing the ability to adapt and recover in the community. Therefore, the program was born with the mission of raising awareness of climate change and disease prevention skills right in the school environment.
At the same time, the program contributes to building a proactive health care ecosystem with active participation from families-schools-students.
The project is implemented through diverse activities from curriculum, parent workshops, to free health check-ups.
It is expected that more than 50 schools, 15,000 students, and 900 teachers and parents will benefit from the program, of which 100% of students and teachers at 25 schools will benefit from health care facilities.
