The program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen" was organized by Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper in coordination with the Cat Hai district government. Thereby, creating a bridge for the community to join hands to support fishermen to confidently stick to the sea, affirm and maintain the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 100 gifts to fishermen, each worth more than 4 million VND (Very guns, LED bulbs, medicine bags, battery boxes and the handbook "Things to know about catching seafood". Also here, the Organizing Committee awarded 15 scholarships (each worth 2 million VND and a set of learning tools) to children of fishermen who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.
It is known that in 2025, in addition to legal communication activities on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU), the Organizing Committee will aim to support fishermen in developing a sustainable marine economy according to the Government's sustainable aquaculture development plan until 2030, with a vision to 2045. The goal is to turn the marine farming industry into a large-scale, industrial, synchronous, safe, efficient, sustainable and ecological environmental protection commodity production industry.
