On December 26, Hai Phong City Police said that in order to gradually build Hai Phong into a drug-free city and carry out a high point of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring absolute safety and security for the Lunar New Year 2025, recently, the police of various units and localities have broken up 3 gangs and arrested 17 subjects related to drug crimes.
Accordingly, on December 24, Ngo Quyen District Police eliminated a group of subjects illegally trading in drugs, arresting 3 subjects, including Bui Viet Hung (born in 2008, in Dang Cuong commune, An Duong district), Nguyen Duc Manh (born in 2007, in Bac Son ward, Kien An district); Do Manh Tung (born in 2008, in Anh Dung ward, Duong Kinh district) with evidence.
On the same day, Le Chan District Police eliminated a group of subjects illegally storing drugs, arrested Lo Van Dong (born in 1997, in Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, Nghe An province), and seized 0.12 grams of Heroin.
On December 25, at the house of Le Van Du (born in 1993, in Cao Minh village, An Tho commune, An Lao district, Hai Phong), An Lao district police arrested Le Van Du for organizing illegal use of drugs, confiscating drug paraphernalia and 2.4 kg of firecrackers.
On the same day, the police of Ngo Quyen district, Kien An district, An Duong district broke 4 cases, arrested 4 subjects, specifically: Nguyen Thi Thuy (born in 1982, in An Dong commune, An Duong district), illegally stored drugs, seized 0.34 grams of Heroin; Tran Van Hiep (born in 1987, in Quoc Tuan commune, An Duong district), illegally stored drugs, seized 0.29 grams of Methamphetamine; Vu Van Duong (born in 1971, in Tran Nguyen Han ward, Le Chan district), illegally bought and sold drugs, seized 2.09 grams of Heroin; Dang The Thang (born in 1974, in Thuong Ly ward, Hong Bang district), illegally stored drugs, seized 0.15 grams of Heroin.
Notably, at 2:00 a.m. on December 24, at Linh Anh Karaoke bar, in Quyet Tien residential group, Minh Duc town, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - City Police coordinated with functional forces to eliminate a group of drug dealers and illegal drug users, arresting 5 subjects (3 men, 2 women), seizing 78.1 grams of MTTH, 3 phones, 2 cars, 1 electronic scale and some other related evidence.
Through a quick test, 3/5 subjects tested positive for drugs. Currently, the Investigation Police Agency - City Police has issued a decision to temporarily detain Nguyen Minh Thuan (born in 2001, residing in Tay village, Thuy Duong, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong) and Bui Van Huan (born in 2001, residing in Bac 2 village, Thuy Duong, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong) for the act of Organizing illegal use of drugs; at the same time, temporarily detain Nguyen Thanh Lam (born in 2001, residing in Trai village, Thuy Duong, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong) for the act of Illegal drug trafficking.
