On October 11, the Steering Committee of Kien Giang Provincial Police held an online conference to review activities in the first 9 months of 2024. The conference aimed to assess the implementation of tasks to ensure security, order and fight against crime in the province.
Over the past 9 months, the provincial police have achieved many positive results in protecting national security, social order and safety, and handling unexpected incidents. The fight against crime has made great strides, especially serious cases have been handled promptly, avoiding passive situations.
Unexpected and arising tasks were effectively resolved, ensuring security and contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the province. The activities of the Provincial Police Steering Committee 35 and the Police Steering Committees 35 of local units have had positive changes, improving efficiency and quality. Being proactive in grasping the situation, promptly detecting and fighting against activities that spread bad and toxic information, distorting the political situation, undermining ideology, opposing the Party and the State; inciting protests, disturbing security and order on cyberspace by all types of subjects, preventing complicated incidents from occurring in the province.
Timely detect, prevent and handle many social network accounts that propagate political distortions, sabotage ideology, post bad and toxic information, and hostile and erroneous views on cyberspace.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Han - Director of the Provincial Police Department requested the Heads of Police of units and localities to promote a proactive and positive role, focus on thoroughly directing the effective implementation of the fight against bad and toxic information, spreading positive information associated with the work of ensuring national security and preventing all types of crimes.
Continue to effectively direct and promote the role of Steering Group 35 of the Public Security of units and localities, especially developing and maintaining the operation of Facebook pages and Fanpages from the commune level and above.
