On the morning of April 30, Da Nang Museum officially launched HeriStepAI automatic explanation technology, bringing a new and modern sightseeing experience to visitors.

This is the first time the Da Nang Museum has implemented an explanation model with the "talking with AI" feature, based on the actual location of visitors. Just step closer to the object, the system will automatically activate the explanation with a clear, lively voice, as if there is always a tour guide by your side.

To participate in the experience, visitors can go to the main hall at the HeriStepAI reception counter to register to receive a device with a phone and a specialized headphone, without having to download an application or perform complicated operations. The application of new technology will bring a vivid experience to people and tourists when visiting and learning about local culture and history.

In particular, HeriStepAI also integrates an AI virtual assistant - allowing visitors to ask questions directly and receive quick answers on the spot. Currently, the system supports more than 10 languages including: Vietnamese, English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese... to provide maximum support for international visitors and foreign language learners.

Deputy Director of the Da Nang Museum, Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Van said: applying AI technology to explaining artifacts is a step to help meet the needs of visitors to listen to explanations and participate in diverse languages. Especially rare foreign languages in the limited explanation team of the Museum."

Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Van also hopes that this change will create stronger connections with the community, raise awareness of cultural heritage and create unique emotions and experiences for visitors. At the same time, it contributes to improving the quality and efficiency of activities, attracting tourists to the museum and contributing to promoting the cultural brand of Da Nang city.

Ms. Hong Lai, a tourist visiting the museum, shared: At first, I was a bit curious about how to explain using AI, but when used, it was very convenient. Just stand in front of an artifact, the application automatically identifies location and begins storytelling very consistently and easily. It felt like having a "different tour guide" with me. I think this technology will help many people, especially young people, feel more excited when coming to the museum.

The event launched storytelling technology with AI to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. At the same time, it also marks a strong change in the approach to cultural heritage in Da Nang city.
