The two prosecuted subjects are: Tran Xuan Huy (born 2005) and Tran Anh Kiet (born 2006), both residing in Hoa Loc residential group, Ky Trinh ward, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province.
Previously, at the end of November 2024, Ky Dong Commune Police received a report from Mr. Dang Dinh Tri (born in 1994, residing in Ky Dong Commune, Ky Anh District) about the theft of 12 mobile phones and 500,000 VND in cash from his phone store in Ky Dong Commune, with a total value of more than 40 million VND.
During the investigation, on November 27, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic and drug crimes of Ky Anh District Police coordinated with Ky Dong Commune Police to arrest 2 subjects who caused the theft of Mr. Tri's property, Tran Xuan Huy and Tran Anh Kiet.
Expanding the investigation, these two subjects confessed that recently they had committed 4 thefts in the area.
Their trick is to take advantage of the darkness and people's carelessness to break in, steal property including money, gold, phones, etc. and then sell them in other areas.
Of the two arrested subjects, Tran Anh Kiet had a previous conviction for theft and was serving a suspended sentence.
