On April 22, the Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province said that it had just coordinated to arrest a subject for illegally transporting explosives.
At about 10:30 a.m. on April 20, in Lam Thuy commune (Le Thuy district), the working group of Lang Ho Border Guard Station coordinated with Lam Thuy commune police to inspect and catch a subject residing in Phu Thuy commune (Le Thuy district) red-handed while transporting explosives.
At the scene, the authorities seized 9 cylindrical balls suspected to be explosives and 8 detonators. The subject confessed that all the exhibits were explosives, taken with him for fishing purposes.
Conducting an emergency search of the subject's residence, the authorities seized 11 more blows of explosives with a total weight of 2kg and 18 detonators. In total, the authorities seized 20 blocks of explosives (weighing 3.65kg) and 26 detonators.
Currently, Lang Ho Border Guard Station is continuing to complete the dossier to handle the case in accordance with legal regulations.
