On July 23, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that Dong Ha Ward Police had just discovered and arrested a group of young people who organized illegal drug use.
Previously, at 5:40 a.m. on July 18, during a patrol to ensure security and order, the police discovered 7 subjects gathering to use drugs in a rented room on Nguyen Trai Street, Dong Ha Ward.
The identities of the subjects include: L.T.K, N.T.Y (both born in 2000, residing in Dak Lak province); N.V.M (born in 2002), N.T.N.T (born in 2003), T.V.N (born in 2002), H.T.H (born in 2002), all residing in Gia Lai province), L.C.T.P (born in 2001), residing in Quang Tri province).
At the scene, the police seized a porcelain plate containing white crystals suspected to be drugs, a plastic card, a 100,000 VND bills wrapped in pipes, 7 mobile phones and many related documents.
The subjects admitted to organizing illegal use of drugs. Dong Ha Ward Police have drawn up a record of arresting the offender in the act, temporarily detained the exhibits and coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department to continue investigating and handling according to regulations.
