On December 26, Soc Trang Provincial Police said that after receiving information from the people and through the work of grasping the situation, at 9:00 a.m. on December 25, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Soc Trang Provincial Police coordinated with Soc Trang City Police to arrest 2 subjects illegally storing drugs at house number 2, road number 8, residential area 586, group 2, ward 2, Soc Trang City.
The two subjects are Ly Ngoc Lam (born in 1987), residing in Hamlet 4, Ward 6, Soc Trang City, and Huynh Van Vang (born in 1995), residing in Truong Thanh A Hamlet, Truong Khanh Commune, Long Phu District (Soc Trang Province).
At the scene, the authorities seized 15 nylon bags containing white solid crystals, 1 glass tube containing yellow solid crystals, 1 nylon bag and 1 plate containing white powder that was drugs, along with a number of related exhibits.
During the investigation, the two subjects confessed that they bought the drugs for their own use and then shared them with others. Through a quick test, both subjects tested positive for drugs.
