On August 2, information from Can Tho City Police said that My Xuyen Ward Police had just discovered and caught red-handed a case of illegal possession and use of drugs.
Accordingly, through the work of grasping the situation, at about 11:00 a.m. on July 30, My Xuyen Ward Police force conducted an inspection and caught Nguyen Viet Khuong (born in 1977) red-handed for illegally storing drugs at his house in Tam Tho Hamlet, My Xuyen Ward.
At the time of the caught red-handed, the police discovered and seized many objects and evidence, including: 01 sealed plastic bag containing white solid crystals (the subject admitted to being drugs), 01 set of drug use tools, 03 glass baskets, 01 mobile phone, the amount of 300,000 VND and some other related exhibits.
Through working with Khuong and expanding the investigation, My Xuyen Ward Police invited Kim Thanh Thang and Tran Ba Thinh to work. Both subjects admitted to being involved in drug use with Nguyen Viet Khuong.
The case is being further investigated and handled by the authorities.
