On August 20, Ninh Binh Provincial Police informed that through reconnaissance work and situation assessment, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with My Loc Ward Police to inspect, detect and catch 5 subjects red-handed while organizing illegal use of drugs at the house of Nguyen Xuan Thanh Viet (born in 1987, residing in My Loc Ward).
The subjects include Nguyen Xuan Thanh Viet, Tran Van The (born in 1995, residing in My Loc ward), Tran Viet Hieu (born in 1981) and Nguyen Anh Tuan (born in 1976) residing in Thanh Nam ward, Tran Thi Thu Thuy (born in 1985, residing in Truong Thi ward).
During the arrest and search, the police seized 1 set of tools used by the subjects to illegally use drugs; 1 pack of ketamine ( calousage of 0.922 grams), 12 packages of heroin ( calousage of 0.723 grams), 2 synthetic drug pills ( calousage of 1.064 grams).
According to the police, during the struggle, the subjects all admitted to their crimes.
It is worth mentioning that all 5 subjects above have many previous convictions for illegal drug trafficking and possession, theft of property, and disturbing public order. In which, Nguyen Anh Tuan (aka Tuan Vien) is a notorious criminal in the locality, with 2 previous convictions for abusing trust to appropriate property and consuming property obtained by others through crime.
The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
