On January 6, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that the Provincial Police Investigation Agency had coordinated with Ngu Lac Commune Police to issue a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant and an arrest warrant for temporary detention for 3 months against Huynh Tan Beo (born in 1996, Ngu Lac commune) to investigate the act of illegally possessing drugs.
Previously, on December 28, 2025, during a patrol, Ngu Lac Commune Police discovered Beo driving a motorbike with license plate 52K6-87XX showing suspicious signs, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection, and Beo threw a piece of plastic pipe onto the side of the road.
Through inspection, initial suspicion was drug, so a record was made, sealed, temporarily seized the exhibits and invited them to work. At the same time, an emergency search at Beo's residence was conducted, seizing 01 transparent white nylon bag, inside containing 05 pieces of plastic pipes sealed at both ends, inside containing white substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
The results of the examination showed that the seized exhibits were Methamphetamine, weighing 4.4641 grams. Through working, Huynh Tan Beo confessed that the above drugs were bought for use.
