On September 22, young people from units in the Da Nang City Border Guard coordinated with local union and twinning organizations to simultaneously organize an environmental cleanup campaign.
Accordingly, units under the City Border Guard actively coordinated with local Youth Union organizations and units stationed in the area to participate in cleaning the environment at their residences, offices, and work units.
Join hands to clean up the marine environment; take care of trees, flower beds, and ornamental plants; clear bushes and trim trees that block the view.
Collect and classify waste and bring it to the treatment site; distribute leaflets to propagate the harmful effects of plastic waste, environmental protection... to people and fishermen in the coastal border area of the city.
On this occasion, the unit also coordinated to launch the "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Civilized - Safe" route in Thach Thang ward (Hai Chau district).
Senior Lieutenant colonel Dinh Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the City Border Guard's Political Department, said that this is a very meaningful activity held annually to promote the role and responsibility of union members and youth through specific projects and tasks.
"Contributing to improving people's quality of life as well as protecting the environment, creating green, clean, beautiful and bright landscapes in localities; at the same time contributing to raising awareness, creating a widespread influence on union members, youth and people in protecting the environment and responding to climate change," said Mr. Anh.
