On September 28, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province announced that it had officially announced the recruitment of civil servants in the education sector.
The purpose of organizing the recruitment of civil servants is to supplement the quantity and improve the quality of civil servants for units under the Department of Education and Training, ensuring professional capacity, good moral qualities, meeting the standards of professional titles according to regulations, meeting the requirements of professional tasks of the unit.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, the number of employees working at educational institutions under the Department of Education and Training assigned in 2024 is 2,473 people, the current number of employees is 2,322 people. The recruitment demand this time is 98 people, the remaining 53 people have not been recruited.

It is expected that in October 2024, the entrance exam will be held (according to regulations in Clause 4, Article 15 of Decree No. 115/2020/ND-CP dated September 25, 2020); the second round exam will be held at the Ca Mau Province Continuing Education Center, No. 04, Le Thi Rieng, Ward 5, Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province.
In the recruitment of 98 civil servants, not only rural areas, remote areas but also the center of Ca Mau city also need teachers. The most recruited positions are teachers of history, geography, and physical education. Teachers of chemistry and biology are almost not in demand.
Meanwhile, the shortage of teachers at other levels of education is serious. The demand for preschool teachers is 2,615, primary school teachers 7,008, middle school teachers 4,341 and high school teachers 2,785. Thus, the number of assigned positions compared to the demand is still 1,306 short of the demand, of which the number of teachers is 365 short of the demand.
It is expected that in the 2024-2025 school year, the province will need 6,749 people (teachers and staff) according to the prescribed norms.
To recruit enough of the above numbers, the Department of Education and Training continues to review and recruit the missing positions. The Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province proactively coordinates with localities to develop plans to arrange, organize, and transfer teachers from places with surplus to places with shortage, overcome the situation of local surplus and shortage of teachers, stabilize the team to prepare personnel for teaching in the 2024-2025 school year. The Department of Home Affairs reviews and advises competent authorities to supplement the number of employees lacking compared to regulations, and guides localities to carry out the recruitment of civil servants for the 2024-2025 school year.
According to Mr. Le Hoang Du, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, the Department continues to review and order training and retraining for teachers and staff who are still lacking according to the Job Position Project approved by competent authorities, meeting the requirements of implementing the 2018 General Education Program for the period 2021-2025 and orientation to 2030 in accordance with the reality of each locality. Along with that, the Department advises the Provincial People's Committee to consider the roadmap for reducing the staff of educational public service units, especially units and schools under the Department.
