In the last days of the year in Can Tho City, besides decorating the streets, units are also rushing to complete the repair of major roads, bringing a new, clean and beautiful appearance to prepare for Tet.
In particular, Binh Thuy district is implementing asphalt paving and repairing damaged areas on Vo Van Kiet Street (from Vo Van Kiet roundabout to Huynh Phan Ho intersection). This is considered the city's gateway, connecting the city center with Can Tho International Airport.
According to the reporter's records on December 23 on Vo Van Kiet Street (Binh Thuy District), many locations on this route have been paved with asphalt, fixing degraded, peeling, potholes, etc. The road surface after being paved with asphalt becomes smooth and flat, helping vehicles move smoothly and reducing noise.
Excited about the change of the route, Ms. Kim Ha (Binh Thuy district) shared that after the asphalt paving, Vo Van Kiet street is clean and spacious, people can travel more comfortably and safely, especially creating convenience for tourists when coming to Can Tho at the end of the year and the upcoming Tet holiday.
According to the construction unit, the unit is currently focusing on machinery, equipment and human resources to work 3 shifts per day, trying to complete the asphalt paving of Vo Van Kiet Street early before New Year's Day.
In addition to asphalt paving, Binh Thuy district also replaced old traffic signs, repainted lanes, and median strips on Vo Van Kiet Street, making people's travel safer.
Along this route, workers are also taking advantage of favorable weather to urgently weed, trim flowers and trees, contributing to urban beautification and beautifying the route.
