The subjects used the form of sending messages to some leaders of local Party committees and authorities at all levels, threatening to spread sensitive images and short films (video clips), affecting the reputation and honor of the individuals; if they did not want to be revealed, they had to transfer money to the subjects. The number and cases tended to increase.
In order to proactively detect, combat, and promptly prevent violations of the law by subjects, contributing to ensuring security, order, and social safety in the province, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requests Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, agencies, units, and localities to pay attention to leadership, direction, and strengthen leadership, direction, management, inspection, and supervision of cadres and Party members. At the same time, it requires protecting the confidentiality of personal information, protecting internal politics, enhancing the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, especially leaders, in complying with ethical standards and lifestyles; raising vigilance, not allowing subjects to take advantage of and use high technology to defraud and appropriate property.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also directed that when cadres and party members discover cases or subjects showing signs of using the above methods and tricks, they should immediately contact the nearest police agency to provide information, coordinate in the investigation, and thoroughly handle the case; absolutely do not arbitrarily contact, interact, or follow the subject's requests. The Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Police leads the Provincial Police to direct professional units to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently investigate, verify, and clarify the violations of the subjects for strict handling according to the law.
