On September 11, in Kien Hai special zone, An Giang province, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command organized the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" in Cu Tron hamlet.
The program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command is combined during the implementation of tactical training and live-fire at sea in 2025. Through the Program, the aim is to raise awareness among the people about the sovereignty of the sea and islands, legal regulations on illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU); on drug harm prevention and control and the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Coast Guard; implement activities on policies and social security in the area.

Attending the program were: Colonel Phan Duy Cuong, Deputy Commander of the Military Command, Coast Guard Region 4 Command; representatives of commanders of agencies and units under the Region Command; representatives of the leaders of Kien Hai Special Zone, An Giang Province; representatives of the armed forces and more than 140 officers and people in the area of Cu Tron Hamlet.
In this program, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command organized for fishermen to watch a documentary film " mock trial" about a criminal case related to IUU, combining content to propagate the law and the Vietnam Coast Guard Law.

Thereby raising awareness of law compliance for fishermen when exploiting aquatic products at sea, creating deterrence, warning, and general prevention. In addition, the Working Group of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command directly dismantled fishing boats in the coastal waters of Nam Du archipelago and fishing boats anchored at the port to propagate the law, present the national flag, Uncle Ho's photos and medical bags to fishermen.
On this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command presented gifts to 15 policy families and fishing families in difficult circumstances; 10 students in difficult circumstances, who have excelled in their studies (each gift worth 1 million VND) and continued to sponsor 3 students (each gift worth 9 million VND/child/year).
At the propaganda session, Colonel Phan Duy Cuong, Deputy Commander of the Military Command, Coast Guard Region 4 Command, emphasized: "Through the program, we hope that each person on the remote island will not only feel secure in sticking to the sea, but also actively work with the Vietnam Coast Guard to maintain political security, order and safety in the sacred Southwest sea of the Fatherland".
The program also continues to affirm the role of the Vietnam Coast Guard in protecting sovereignty, security, safety of seas and islands and building a solid people's heart position at the forefront of the Fatherland.
