At around 1am the same day, many workers smelled a strong burning smell and went to check and discovered flames rising high in a temporary house at a construction site on Ton Duc Thang Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
Seeing the fire, the workers quickly used mini fire extinguishers to put it out but were unsuccessful. A few minutes later, the fire continued to flare up fiercely.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 1 Police dispatched many specialized fire fighting vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. At around 2:00 a.m. the same day, the fire was brought under control.
At the scene, the temporary house was burned down, many items and assets serving the construction were burned down.
