On August 21, Tan An Ward Police, Dak Lak Province informed that the unit is consolidating the case file to handle a young man from Ho Chi Minh City coming to the locality, organizing many seminars to sell goods of unknown origin to people.
Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on August 15, Tan An Ward Police discovered a young man with signs of goods of unknown origin. The authorities conducted verification and clarified that the young man's name was T (residing in Ho Chi Minh City).
At the time of inspection, the police discovered that T was advertising and selling 214 products including functional foods, cosmetics, and various headbands. These items do not have invoices or documents proving their origin.
Initially, the police determined that since August 9, after arriving in Dak Lak, T had organized 7 seminars at the halls of residential groups in many different areas to sell the above items to people (mainly the elderly).
T advertised that these items originated from Korea, with very good quality for health. To gain more trust, T also invited a Korean national to participate in the seminars.
Currently, Tan An Ward Police have seized all of the above goods to verify, clarify and handle them according to the provisions of law.
